Report
The second season of the resurrected United Football League in 2010 saw an expansion into the Midwest with the addition of Omaha Nighthawks (Nebraska). The Hartford Colonials replaced the New York Sentinels and the California Redwoods moved from San Jose to Sacramento renaming themselves the Mountain Lions. The League was also far more competitive with Las Vegas Locomotives and Florida Tuskers (Orlando) both reaching the Championship Game on 5-3 records, Florida after a 27-10 victory in Omaha which consigned the Nighthawks to bottom spot on 3-5. Hartford also finished 3-5 with a win at home to Las Vegas Locomotives on the last day of the season. Sacramento Mountain Lions finished 4-4 the week before with a huge 41-3 victory over Omaha but their slim hopes were dashed on the Final week when they had to watch on with a bye week. The Championship Game itself was also close as Las Vegas Locomotives won by 3 points against Florida Tuskers for the second time in as many seasons defeating the Tuskers 23-20 with a fourth quarter safety sealing the victory.
