In 1986 a series of Unofficial Friendlies or Challenge matches were played by Northern European American Football teams. These included match-ups between Scotland’s Glasgow Lions and Finland’s Munkka Colts, as well as Coventry Bears (England) versus Oslo Trolls (Norway), as well as one of England’s to teams, the Birmingham Bulls against the Hanau Hawks of Germany.
