Report

Donegal were again winners of the Irish National Darts Organisation All-Ireland Inter-County Championship in 2007, with a 7-5 victory over Cork in the final. They had defeated Limerick 7-5 in the Quarter-Finals and Kilkenny 7-4 in the Semi-Finals. Cork defeated Dublin 7-3 in the other Semi-Final.

Dublin were perhaps lucky to have qualified for the Quarter-Finals, having lost 8-4 to Meath in their First Round Group. Meath won all three of their matches in the Group, but Dublin, having done far better in their games with Clare (winning 11-1) and Cavan (winning 10-2) were winners of the group having won more Legs (25 to Meath’s 24).

Meath, however, qualified for the Quarter-Finals through the Playoffs, where the six Group runners-up met for the final two Quarter-Final places. Here Meath comprehensively defeated Galway (8-0) and Westmeath (8-1), but were drawn against Dublin again in the Quarter-Finals and despite being 4-1 and 6-5 up lost in the end 7-6. The other Quarter-Finalists were Louth and Kildare.
